Choice Homecare Ottawa is proud to announce that Holly McCausland, DSW, is the recipient of the 2016 Healthcare Professional of the Year Award from Spinal Cord Injury of Ontario (SCIO).

This was recently presented to Holly by Andrea Andrecyk at the Annual Mobility Vehicle Exhibition and BBQ Event right here in Ottawa. Holly was recognized for her competent and compassionate care for SCIO clients. We are so proud of Holly’s efforts and she is well-suited to this honour and recognition for her excellence and professional service.

SCIO (www.SCIOntario.org) champions excellence, advocacy, and quality of life for people with spinal cord injuries. SCIO’s mission is to help people with spinal cord injuries and other physical disabilities “to achieve independence, self reliance, and full community participation.” Caregivers like Holly play an important role in providing care for clients with spinal cord injuries.

Holly is a dedicated, compassionate caregiver. What makes her so well-suited to the role of caregiver? “My heart – I have a soft spot for people – I care for people. Putting smiles on their faces is rewarding. I have to take care of people!”
